From Dubai to dough
What do Dubai and dough have in common? They come together in the decover atelier, where the color of one perfectly matches the scent of the other. How? You can read about it in this blog. About craftsmanship, passion, and tasteful entrepreneurship.
We love artisanal work, good old-fashioned quality. We make our products by hand, with craftsmanship and love, using various techniques to achieve a unique end result. Moreover, we put a lot of passion into it. We strive for perfection with precision.
Virtually everything you buy from us is custom-made. Even the color of our coated menu-covers is often created in consultation with our customers. For instance, the beach sand from Dubai went from grain to coating. And the rest is history, because by now this color is selling like hotcakes. Sometimes almost literally!
Recently, we had the pleasure of creating menu-covers in the same beautiful color for a local baker; an enthusiastic craftsman with whom we immediately clicked. Personally, but also because of the way he practices his profession.
In 2025, Erik and his team settled in the more than 175-year-old windmill in Ravenstein. A hard-working baker with a love for his craft and his product, just like us. There is nothing like freshly baked sourdough bread (with a layer of real butter, in our opinion). Erik took up the challenge to turn the De Nijverheid windmill into an experience. He does this in collaboration with the tasting room of Stadsbrouwerij Wilskracht (talk about craftsmanship!).
So nowadays, Brodijnen is not only a city bakery from Nijmegen, but also a lunchroom in Ravenstein. He had us design the menu-coverr for his lunch menu, high tea, and charcuterie board. We managed to transform his logo into a detailed, sleek engraving.
People all over the world are still working with passion for their business. That is what makes our work so interesting. One day we are working on a menu-cover for Dubai, the next day sourdough could just as easily be on the menu!
