Menu presentation for Easter
The Easter weekend is just around the corner. Traditionally, it's a long weekend for many, and that means a busy time for the hospitality industry. Easter is often the first long, free weekend of spring. If the sun shines brightly, your terrace – if all goes well – will quickly fill up. Then you won't have time to think about new menu-covers. If all goes well, you'll have done that beforehand!*
A bunch of brunch
Easter is increasingly becoming a second Christmas. Supermarkets go all out with colorful Easter products. During these holidays, there's a growing focus on shared meals. At home, but also out. While Christmas mainly revolves around dinner, for Easter, breakfast, lunch, or 'brunch' is more popular: breakfast & lunch seems to have originated in the 19th century, as a meal after hunting or a ritual meal after fasting. In the 1990s, Easter brunch became increasingly popular in the hospitality industry.
An egg is a must
A traditional brunch includes both sweet and savory dishes, and perhaps you work in a hospitality business where you serve your guests buffet style. Freshly baked bread, savory snacks like quiche, a light spring soup (asparagus, are they here yet?), fresh salad, and, of course, egg. Hard-boiled, soft-boiled, poached, as a hearty omelet, fried egg, or even a sunny side up.
Sweet treats also do well
Freshly squeezed juice with raisin rolls, scones with clotted cream, cake with lemon curd, homemade jam. And don't forget the croissants! Sweet items also go well during a brunch.
Do you actually serve matzos with it? This unleavened bread, originally Jewish, is as simple as it is delicious. Spread a thin layer of butter on it, sprinkle with brown sugar, and enjoy.
Easter Presentation
The presentation of your Easter menu can be done in various ways. If you offer a brunch buffet, then menu boards with a clip and a menu holder are very convenient. Easy to change and place upright between the dishes on your buffet table.
If you serve à la carte, consider a menu folder in a fresh spring color. Millennial pink, white, or emerald green give an outdoor feeling, even if the weather isn't at its best yet for Easter.
*If not, be on time with your order next year (January/February) 😉🐣🪻
