Van digitale impressie naar productie

From digital impression to production

"Do I get a sample of my order first?" Not for nothing a frequently asked question; it's understandable that you want to know this before making a choice. Ordering custom products in a webshop can be nerve-wracking. You're ordering something personal, and you want to know as much as possible beforehand if you'll get what you envision.

A Sneak Peek with a little extra

At decover, we always create a digital impression before we go into production. For this, we have personal contact with you. Thanks to our many years of experience, we now know well how a logo looks best as an engraving. Our digital impressions are therefore not a sneak peek of rough sketches, but a fairly accurate representation of the end result. This gives you a good impression of our proposed design for your menu.

The design process of your menu

You will be actively involved in the design process of your menu. After you have placed your order, you email your logo in vector format (.ai, .eps or .svg) to us. We will then contact you within a few days about the design. Don't have a vector file, but for example a .jp(e)g or .png file? Then we can convert it into a vector file.

From logo to engraving

We usually engrave logos on menus or menu holders, but if you have specific wishes about text or an image, please share them! We will create a custom design for you. Do you want the engraving in the middle (centered), at the top, bottom, or rotated by a quarter turn, for example? All (usually) possible.

You will then receive a digital design (PDF file) of your order in the color, size, and with the binding system as you ordered. Sometimes a logo can be engraved in multiple ways, so we immediately work out some more variations. We allow a maximum of three rounds of corrections, so there is room for feedback. Do you see something that could be different? Share your insight! Only after your go-ahead will our production colleagues start working for you, not before.

Craftsmanship requires attention

Decover's menus are not a dime a dozen. Every order that leaves our door is unique (unless it's a repeat order). This makes the design phase an important, personal process in which we collaborate with you. Our craftsmanship is all about attention to the end product. We ensure that you eagerly open your order, without being met with an unpleasant surprise.

In summary:

  1. You place your order in our webshop.
  2. You email your logo (vector) and any additional wishes or ideas.
  3. We create a digital impression (PDF) of your menu or menu holder.
  4. You review the design and give us feedback (or approval, step 6).
  5. Any adjustments are made (maximum two times).
  6. You give your approval for the final design via email.
  7. We go into production!
  8. And you? In the meantime, you focus on your business.
